Emerging in the late 1980’s- early 1990’s, Master Kush is the oldest cut we grow here at Lifted, as well as the closest thing to a landrace. As with a lot of older stains that were around the scene before legalization, the lineage and origin story of this strain is somewhat debatable, but the story of it’s lineage being Hindu Kush x Hindu Kush seems to make the most sense to us.
A true, pure indica plant, with all the classic growth traits you’d expect from an indica. Wide leaves, short and stout frame, and sedating effects. The terpene profile is earthy/coffee/hash, and the epitome of what “kushy” should smell and taste like. Master Kush is very similar to its cousin Bubba Kush, as well as its parent strain Hindu Kush, which is a landrace indica from the Hindu Kush mountain range region of Afghanistan, Pakistan and Tajikistan.
